Design as a Career

Instead of Friday 13th bringing bad luck, for a hundred or so Melbourne artists and craftspeople this date brought the good fortune to listen to a myriad of different speakers on a range of topics relating to professional practice and development. Hosted by the Melbourne Museum, the sold-out event included Letterbox founder Stephen Banham who spoke on the topic of graphic design and identity. Other speakers include: Evan Lowenstein Lowensteins Arts Management, Rhiannon Hardingham i dream a highway, Lara Olsen & Yann Burden Energy Return, Melissa Loughnan Utopian Slumps, Grace McQuilten The Social Studio, Jo Walker frankie magazine, Lucy Feagins The Design Files and Nina Ellis, jeweller and designer, with Titania Henderson, sculptor.
