It’s big. It’s bold. It’s blacker than black. It’s League.
A perpetual wonder of typography is that there are always gaps in what appears to be at first a bottomless font menu. These spaces present infinite opportunities for the creation of new typographic voices. If this sounds a touch utopian, it is because League was designed with reference to utopian languages, particularly Esperanto whose entire set of diacritics and alternates are featured. This is featured in the mighty handsome and newly released Utopia Oblique.
In these times of economic fear and pessimism, this blacker-than-black heavyweight titling sans League expresses an unapologetic statement of action and confidence. It’s a typographic antidote for uncertain times.
