Moreland Arts Precinct

design Letterbox | client City of Moreland (now City of Merri-bek)

This set of two urban markers were designed as bold signifiers of the City of Moreland Cultural Precinct in Brunswick, Melbourne. The towering ‘M’ form refers to the Mechanics Institute (a centre for the performing arts) whilst the sculptural ‘C’ form marks the entrance to the renown Counihan Gallery.

Postscript The works were deinstalled in 2019 during extensive renovation to the sites.
