Brunswick Black

design and digitisation Letterbox

Named after its birth-place (Brunswick, in inner-city Melbourne), this black display face builds upon the rich heritage of Ozwald Cooper’s 1921 classic Cooper Black, carefully avoiding the cartoonish aspects of the original by basing it on a very sturdy slab serif structure. With its solid robust forms, Brunswick Black features not only beautiful small caps but also a set of unique ‘petite’ caps.
